Course Overview

Welcome to our Health & Social Care degree at City College Coventry. This course gives you the chance to develop your leadership and professional practice in a supportive learning environment. You’ll explore care policy, ethical frameworks, safeguarding, and the wider context of social care delivery while enhancing your confidence in dealing with sensitive issues in real-world settings. Through practical learning, you’ll gain the tools to support service users effectively while preparing for a career in health, social care, or community services.

Entry Requirements

Our entry guidelines are designed to help identify your suitability for this course. With individual review and flexible admissions, we support your goals and personal development at City College Coventry.

To apply for this course, applicants will require the following:

​

·  UK Level 3 Academic qualification with minimum 60 credits, or

·  UK Level 2 Academic qualification with minimum 45 credits, or

·  Five GCSEs passed at grade C/4 or above (including English and Maths), or

·  EU/Overseas qualifications comparable to UK Level 3

​

Applicants aged 21 or over without formal qualifications or 48 UCAS points may be accepted based on work experience, and/or a keen interest in the subject area as well as being able to demonstrate a clear desire to do the course for professional development.

English Language Requirements

Applicants must meet English and Maths standards through one of the following:

​​

·  Level 1 Functional Skills in English

·  IELTS 6.0

·  TOEFL iBT minimum score 72

·  Pearson PTE minimum score 51

·  Duolingo minimum score 85

·  City College Coventry English Language Assessment

​

if none of the above are available, applicants are able to take an assessment at the admissions stage at the College.
