I joined City College in 2017. I have done my HNC and HND in Business. It was a great experience to be part of City College and to progress to Wolverhampton University.
Up until 2010/2011, I was a Warehouse Manager, but unfortunately the company went bust and was made redundant. I was a private-hire taxi driver afterwards; it wasn't a bad job, but I always wanted to progress and start my own business, which I ended up doing from scratch.
The course gave me good knowledge to start up my own business and [gave me] ideas on how to improve it in terms of advertising, marketing, customer relationships and it brought me into the right direction. It helped me run my business, how to market it... how to improve my business and how to expand it.
I owned my own business since 2018, after my first year in City College. I've got a fleet of chauffer services in Birmingham called "Platinum Chauffeurs UK LTD." - The course helped me set up my own business with the knowledge I learnt... how to grow my own business, become the best in Birmingham or even in the whole West Midlands!
